The paper construction diary is on its way out. Slovak law 25/2025 Coll. and Decree 60/2025 Coll. introduce an electronic construction diary with a precisely defined structure. This article summarizes what the diary must contain and how the Construction diary module handles it.

What belongs in the diary

The law divides the diary into parts A to D. In practice, these are the following groups of entries:

  • Construction and identification: identification data of the construction, the developer, the contractor, the designer and the supervision, permits and contracts.
  • Participants in construction and roles under Section 39: who has the right to write and who can only read.
  • Daily entries: weather, work performed, machinery deployed, materials, workers on site.
  • Photo documentation and attachments: photos with GPS and timestamp, video, PDF.
  • Supervision statements and deadlines, defects and deficiencies, tasks and due dates.
  • Statutory export: PDF in the structure of parts A to D and CSV for the authority or the investor.

Immutability and signature

The most important requirement is that an entry cannot be changed retroactively without a trace. GetERI stores every entry in an immutable audit log (WORM) with a hash chain and an electronic signature via SMS code or hash. A correction is always a new entry referencing the original.

Offline on site

A construction site does not always have a signal. The mobile app writes entries offline and synchronizes when the phone connects. Photos receive GPS coordinates and a timestamp at the moment they are taken, not when they are sent.

Compliance checklist

The module has a built-in compliance checklist for law 25/2025: it shows which mandatory data is missing for a construction before an inspection arrives.

What to enable at the start

For a typical construction company, eight parts are enough to start: constructions and identification, participants, daily entries, photo documentation, signatures, statutory export, offline mode and the compliance checklist. You can enable contracts and documents, workers, supervision statements, defects, tasks and audit when you need them, with the first 30 days free of charge.

A site manager with the Construction diary module costs $14.90 per month. For companies with multiple constructions and their own ERP, a solution for construction is available.

Questions and answers

Can the construction diary run on a phone?

Yes. The mobile app works offline on site, and entries synchronize once connected. Photos carry GPS and a timestamp.

How is it proven that nobody altered an entry?

Every entry is signed and stored in an immutable audit log with a hash chain. A correction is recorded as a new entry, and the original remains.

Does the module apply outside Slovakia?

The module is built for Slovak law 25/2025 and Decree 60/2025. We are preparing local versions for other countries.
